Pollution and Health Effects
Environmental pollution is one of the leading causes of global morbidity and mortality. This session addresses the impact of pollutants such as particulate matter, heavy metals, plastics, and chemical runoff—on human health. From respiratory diseases linked to air pollution to gastrointestinal disorders caused by contaminated water, the track highlights the interconnectedness of environmental degradation and public health. Strategies for pollution control, regulatory frameworks, and innovations in monitoring technologies will be discussed. The track also explores the burden of pollution on children and marginalized communities, aiming to foster equitable and sustainable solutions to these challenges.
