Environmental Hazards
Environmental hazards can be natural (earthquakes, floods, wildfires) or man-made (chemical spills, radiation exposure, industrial accidents). These events pose significant threats to both ecosystems and public health. This track addresses hazard identification, emergency preparedness, and disaster risk reduction strategies. Participants will explore tools for early warning systems, impact assessment, and community resilience building. Special attention will be given to vulnerable populations and the integration of health systems into disaster response. The track encourages a multidisciplinary approach involving public health, engineering, and policy to better manage environmental emergencies.
