Biography
Silvestre GarcÃa de Jalón is a Researcher in bio-economic modelling of agricultural, forestry and agroforestry systems at Cranfield University (UK) working on the EU AGFORWARD project. Silvestre received his PhD at the Agricultural and Natural Resources Economics Department from the Technical University of Madrid (Spain). Silvestre is interested in developing quantitative approaches to promote a sustainable use of natural resources. He specifically conducts economic valuations of the potential uptake of agroforestry systems in Europe and is interested in the drivers behind the adoption of sustainable conservation practices. Dynamic and experienced researcher working both independently and within a team. Comfortable in presenting complex environmental, social and economic issues to diverse audiences.
