Biography
Dr. Ahmed El-Zeiny is a researcher at National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, Egypt. He has got B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Quality Monitoring. Participated in 2 EU funded projects (SUDSOE, FP4PATIW) and several national projects as member and Co-PI. Published 4 research papers in Elsevier, 5 papers in international scientific conferences, 4 papers in international peer reviewed journals and 3 in local scientific journals. Previous and current research papers cover the following topics; water assessment using multi-hyperspectral data and GIS, environmental modeling of areas vulnerable to mosquito transmitted diseases using geospatial techniques, integrated remote sensing and ANN for land use classification, sustainable development using spatial analyses, environmental degradation assessment using remote sensing and GIS, air quality assessment and nanotechnology applications for treatment of heavy metals in contaminated soil. I have conducted a mission to KTH and have been invited as international lecturer to ISNET.
