Andrew Fominykh (Ph.D. 1987) from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev have more than 30 years of experience in the field of heat and mass transfer in multiphase gas-solid-liquid flows. For last decade he have special interest to the processes of transport and cleaning in the atmosphere, in particular to scavenging of active trace gases and aerosols by rains and clouds. For last couple of years his interest focuses on modeling of dust storms and scavenging of hazardous gases by atmospheric aerosols. He have more than 50 papers published in refereed journals, such as Atmospheric Environment, Journal of Environmental Radioactivity, Journal of Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics. He acts as a referee for a number of International Journals.
